It’s time for midweek English football as Wolves take on Everton in an important match for both teams. Wolves are 13th with 22 points and Everton are 7th with 29 points. Once again we see how close the race for the championship is this season in the Premier League, Everton after losing their last match were down from 2nd position to 7th but are just 4 points behind the leaders Liverpool.
Wolves
Wolves haven’t been in good form lately as they won just one of their last seven matches. But the good news is that they haven’t been beaten at home in their last 2 matches and their fans would love a repeat of the FA cup 3rd round win against Crystal Palace. Nuno Espirito Santo’s team has difficulty in keeping clean sheets with just 2 the whole season in the League. The manager will be eager for the return of his forward Daniel Podence from injury to boost his attack.
Everton
After four wins in a row which took them to 2nd in the Premier League table, the Toffees suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of West Ham in Goodison Park. Carlo Ancelotti will have to master his Italian tactics for this match as Wolves are a very hard team to beat. The Italian will want his players to forget that they haven’t beaten their hosts in their last three visits to Molineux but they will be encouraged by the fact that they haven’t lost in their last four away matches.
Verdict
Double chance home win or draw with both teams to score.
