Saints marching down the table
Seemingly from nowhere, Southampton find themselves 15th in the table and hurtling towards a relegation battle.
They are five points clear of the drop zone currently but with Burnley having a game in hand and Norwich unbeaten recently this gap could be closed if the Saints don’t get a handle on things.
The midweek 2-2 draw with Leicester could give them some confidence, Southampton took the lead twice but were pegged back for the draw. The concern for boss Ralph Hassenhuttl is that Southampton have only scored 13 league goals in 14 matches and also that they’ve started to concede at will (eight goals in their last three games).

Maupay rescues point for Brighton
In midweek, Brighton drew 1-1 with West Ham courtesy of a late Neal Maupay equaliser having been behind since the fifth minute.
Incredibly despite no wins in nine games Brighton are in seventh place in the league, no-one seems to want to overtake them.
With audible boos in their last home match is the pressure on Graham Potter, despite losing only three league games so far.
Southampton vs Brighton predictions
Both sides have drawn most of their home and away matches, Southampton have drawn six of their 14 games overall, Brighton seven of 14 with these all coming in their last nine games.
Due to both sides’ struggles in front of goal and their penchant for draws, we can’t see anything other than a draw taking place here.
Half of Southampton’s games end with under 2.5 goals, this also happens in 71% of Brighton’s games, the obvious bet is for the match to end with under 2.5 goals.
