Daniil Medvedev hoping to be fit for the quarter-finals
The world number two Daniil Medvedev had to overcome the scorching heat in Tokyo to beat Fabio Fognini in three sets. The ROC player suffered during the match and had to call for two medical timeouts before finding a way to end the match in his favor. The Tennis matches in Tokyo are being played at noontime. Many players including Medvedev and Djokovic suggested playing at night to no avail.
