On the night of July 2, Atlanta (USA) will host the PFL 6: 2022 Regular Season mixed martial arts tournament. In one of the fights of the show, the Brazilian Carlos Leal will fight with the Russian Nikolai Aleksakhin. Forecast for the fight from Sergey Vashchenko.

Nikolay Aleksakhin (31 years old, Russia)
Career: 24 wins – 7 losses
In PFL: 1 win – 2 losses
81st in the world welterweight rankings
Nikolai Aleksakhin made his PFL debut in October 2019 in a ranked bout and won by TKO in the first round against Jesse Ronson. Then it seemed that the Russian would become the main star of the promotion in the Grand Prix, but this did not happen.

2020 was skipped due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Aleksakhin performed very poorly the following season. At the group stage, he could not defeat the Swede Sadiba Si (the fight was declared invalid) nor the American Ray Cooper (lost on points).

This season, Nikolai is also on the verge of relegation. In the first round, he lost to Sadib Si by unanimous decision.

Aleksakhin has 11 knockouts, two submissions, and 11 referee decisions.

Carlos Leal (28 years old, Brazil)
Nickname: Leo
Career: 17 wins – 3 losses
In PFL: 3 wins – 0 losses
16th in the world welterweight rankings
Brazilian Carlos Leal becomes a real star of the promotion. Previously, he played in Bellator and LFA and got into the PFL through the qualifying rounds in February and April of this year.

He made his debut in the league at the PFL 3 tournament, where he unexpectedly defeated the winner of the Grand Prix last year, American Ray Cooper. The fight ended with a unanimous decision of the judges.

At the moment, the Brazilian is on a series of 11 victories. Most often, he wins on points – seven times. He also has six knockouts and two submissions.

Forecast and rate
Initially, another Brazilian was supposed to fight Aleksakhin – 38-year-old Gleison Tibau. But a couple of days before the tournament, the opponent was replaced. And this is not very good for the Russians. Leal is a very tough athlete with a knockout punch, good wrestling skills, and tactical thinking.

I think the fight will last all three rounds, and the judge will raise Leal’s hand.
