Both of these sides are on pretty bad runs at the moment with Leyton Orient facing relegation and even possible extinction whilst Wycombe, who have comparatively mild problems, have dropped right out of the play-off places after a poor second part of the season.

Leyton Orient have now appointed Omer Riza to the hot-seat as their fifth manager of the season following Danny Webb’s resignation. Relegation already looks a certainty for Orient as they are seven points off safety and have lost four in a row. However, as mentioned above, relegation is the least of their worries right now.

With The O’s relying on a very youthful side to pick up results, they have suffered at both ends of the pitch in recent matches with just one goal scored and 15 conceded in those aforementioned four defeats in a row. With so many distractions off the pitch, even a new manager is unlikely to boost these numbers.

Home form has been atrocious for Orient and they have lost all of their seven matches at the Matchroom Stadium in 2017. Furthermore, they have conceded an average of 2.42 goals per game in that time.

Wycombe went on a fantastic 12-match unbeaten run in the league to put themselves well within the play-off places, however, after losing six of the seven matches following that run, they dropped right out of the running. They have revived their form in the last few weeks and their defeat last time out against Notts County was their first in five matches. Unfortunately for them though, Wycombe are still four points off the top seven with other teams looking like they are stealing a march on them.

Defence has certainly been the priority for the Chairboys this season as shown by the fact they have the eighth-best defensive record in the league whilst they have also kept two clean sheets in their last four games, conceding just two goals. However, there has been a lack of balance at Wycombe and they having not been scoring many goals – just 47 in their 39 league games and just three in the last four.

Gareth Ainsworth’s side have been on a good run away from home in the last few weeks with no losses in their last three. Furthermore, they have scored at least two goals in each of those matches.

On the field matters are the last thing Leyton Orient care about right now and I think we will see a continuation of their poor form, particularly at home, in this game. Additionally, Wycombe have been pretty good on their travels of late and can avenge last weekend’s loss by coming out on top. ‘Wycombe to Win & Over 1.5 Goals’ is the bet to go for at even-money. The Chairboys have scored two or more goals in each of their last three away games and I expect them to do the same against Orient. Furthermore, the bet of ‘Opposition to Win & Over 1.5 Goals’ would have won in half of the O’s home matches this campaign.
