Arsenal Still Interested in Signing Laliga Wonderkid
Arsenal Football Club remains keen on securing the services of Real Valladolid’s talented right-back Ivan Fresneda, according to an exclusive column by respected journalist Fabrizio Romano on Caught Offside .
Despite showing interest in the 18-year-old during the January transfer window, it appears that Fresneda still features in the Gunners’ plans for the upcoming summer transfer window. However, competition for the Spaniard’s signature is likely to be fierce, with Borussia Dortmund and other clubs expected to join the race.
Fresneda’s potential arrival at the Emirates Stadium could provide the North London club with much-needed depth in the right-back position, as Takehiro Tomiyasu has not yet lived up to expectations since his arrival. The teenager has showcased his immense potential in his performances for Real Valladolid, making him a highly sought-after prospect.
According to Romano, the player himself is seeking a new challenge this summer, indicating that a move away from his current club is likely. Given Arsenal’s need for reinforcements in defence, it is plausible that the club may attempt to swoop in and secure the promising youngster’s signature.
In Romano’s own words: “It’s an open race, the player wants to try a new challenge in the summer for sure. Arsenal and Dortmund are still there, but there are also other clubs in the race to sign Ivan Fresneda.”
